Sandy Haithcock Celebrates 34 Years with EpiCity

The Epic Gardens Team: Kori Stokes (leasing agent), Tom Stokes Sr. (real estate investor), Sandy Haithcock (property manager), and Tom Stokes Jr. (president of EpiCity)

We are so pleased to share yet another exciting EpiCity milestone. The Property Manager of Epic Gardens Apartments in Brookhaven, Sandy Haithcock, is celebrating 34 years with the company. Epic Gardens’ new leasing agent, Kori Stokes, is a fourth generation Stokes staff member of EpiCity. President Tom Stokes’ grandfather, D.L. Stokes started the company more than 75 years ago. We think this is cause for celebration!

Haithcock first joined EpiCity as property manager of Epic Manor (then called Towncreek) in Cobb County.  She then managed homes for EpiCity in Griffin, Jackson, Social Circle, Villa Rica, and Douglasville.  Now in her sixth year at Epic Gardens, Haithcock celebrates her 34th year with EpiCity.

“When the employer respects the employee it’s everything,” said Haithcock.  “Tom and the rest of the staff at EpiCity have always treated me well.  They are good, honest, hard-working people and there is nothing upper management would ask me to do that they wouldn’t do themselves.”

Haithcock is contemplating retirement in the not so distant future and she says it is really going to bother her not to see these folks all the time.  “The folks at EpiCIty are like family to me,” Haithcock says.

The feeling is mutual.  Tom Stokes has always admired Haithcock and enjoys working with her.  “Sandy has seen us through a lot of changes, and she worked with my mom, Glenda, my aunt, Mona, and me for so many years, she truly is family.  We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and committed manager like Sandy. ”

Haithcock is not only a property manager, keeping up with her residents’ basic housing needs, she cares about her residents, and wants them to have a good community experience.  For many years, Haithcock dressed up for Halloween, her favorite holiday, and handed out candy to the children of her communities, had summer reading programs, spring fling egg hunts, and many other events.

Epic Gardens, an Epic Residential Community, offers the ideal setting where quality, comfort and economy peacefully co-exist.  Epic Gardens is a 112-unit community in Brookhaven with one, two- or three-bedroom apartments ranging from 700 to 1,340 square feet.  Epic Gardens is located at 3460 Buford Highway in Atlanta, where it is known in the community for its clean appearance and lush magnolia scented landscape.  For more information, call the leasing center at 404.633.1798 or visit Epic Residential Communities are managed by EpiCity.
